Peter and I decided to participate in this trip to celebrate his 60th (0n the 9th), our 37th Anniversary (on the 22nd), and my 60th on Jan 1st. We will be traveling to Bilbao and Barcelona after the trip.
ReplyDeleteWe participated in a Habitat project a couple of years ago in Romania. Very hard work, digging foundations in clay with anitquated shovels and installing tile, etc. But VERY rewarding and great contact with the family. Obviously would do it again as we're signed up for Braga. We have also participated in a Peace Corps Partnership project in Ukraine, building a basketball court at a school. Peter also built a library in Micronesia as part of a "former Peace Corps/Micronesia volunteer project".
We'll be in Porto a couple days before the project, haven't finalized all the travel plans yet.
